According to the cloud computing pardigm, anyone who has Internet access can enjoy the infrastructure resources in cloud with the pay-as-you-go billing model in a self-serving manner. This provides us with the opportunity of deploying an entire database system into the cloud and leveraging its great scalibility and flexibility.
However, it remains a challenge to distribute the dynamic workload among the instances of the database, if multiple resources such as disk usage or CPU usage are to be considered. Can performed a research regarding this issue and proposed a resource management strategy, resolving this problem. Her paper is published at the Ninth IEEE International Conference on Dependable, Autonomic and Secure Computing (DASC 2011) in Sydney.
